Buyback ETFs falling out of favor

PowerShares Buyback Achievers, the largest exchange-traded fund related to companies repurchasing their own stock, has sharply underperformed the market and experienced outflows this year. The ETF is up 2.1% in 2017—less than half the 5.1% rise posted by the S&P 500.
