Top Obama adviser joins Ariel Investments board

Valerie Jarrett, a top adviser to President Barack Obama, has been appointed to Ariel Investments' board of directors. Jarrett was the longest-serving senior adviser to Obama, and she joins former Obama administration Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on the Ariel board. Jarrett's father, Dr. James Bowman, was one of the original members of the Ariel board of directors. Read the original story from the Chicago Tribune.
