Former Ed Sec Arne Duncan joins Ariel board

Former U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has joined Ariel Investments' board of Directors. “We feel this is a homecoming of sorts," said John Rogers, founder, chairman and CIO of Ariel. "I have known Arne since our student days at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools." Duncan was the ninth U.S. Secretary of Education, taking office January 2009 and departing earlier this year.
