Paulson & Co. exec to join AIG board Wednesday

Samuel Merksamer of hedge fund Paulson & Co. will join the board of American International Group Inc. on Wednesday at AIG's annual shareholder meeting. The addition of Merksamer will expand its board to 16 members, part of the terms of a truce in February to at least temporarily halt what had been an increasingly ugly feud over the company’s future.
