Surviving 'Miracle on the Hudson': Why Purpose, Passion are Nothing Without Perspective

July 13, 2017

By Maryann Bruce

Maryann Bruce, an independent trustee for PNC Funds and PNC Advantage Funds, recently wrote about her experience in the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger saved the lives of 155 people—including hers—by successfully landing US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River. Her essay focuses on what she's learned from dealing with adversity and is a good read.
