Governance pros join FBV Editorial Think Tank

May 11, 2016

By FBV staff

Fund Board Views has assembled an Editorial Think Tank populated with independent mutual fund directors, fund industry lawyers and governance professionals. The group of eight will work with the FBV editorial and publishing teams to ensure coverage is meeting the needs of the fund board community.

Think Tank members and FBV staff will meet annually to identify and discuss industry and market trends and potential areas of coverage, and members will be expected to provide feedback to the editorial staff on an ongoing basis. Think Tank members will not direct coverage or advise the editorial staff on a daily basis.

The inaugural members of the Think Tank are Jamie Baxter from Putnam Funds, Steve Byers from db-X ETF Trust, Rajib Chanda from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Nathan Greene from Shearman & Sterling, Joel Motley from OppenheimerFunds, Paulita Pike from Ropes & Gray, Mike Van Buskirk from Advisors Investment Trust and The Boston Trust & Walden Funds, and Susan Wyderko from Mutual Fund Directors Forum.

The group includes directors who oversee both large and small fund groups, as well as traditional mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and a series trust; lawyers who work with large and small fund groups offering traditional funds and alternative investments; and an industry voice for independent directors as a whole.
