Hillary Jackson

Co-Founder and Editor

Hillary Jackson is a co-founder and the editor of Fund Board Views. She has worked as a professional journalist for more the 30 years, covering general interest topics and financial markets around the world. She developed an expertise in the U.S. mutual fund industry as the editor of Institutional Investor's Fund Directions newsletter from 2011 to 2015 and before that as a senior reporter for sister newsletter Fund Action.

 

As a financial journalist, Hillary has worked for Euromoney Institutional Investor in New York and London and for Dow Jones Newswires in London. Hillary has experience in Southeast Asia, having held the Cambodia bureau chief position for Reuters in Phnom Penh in the early 2000s. 

 

Hillary is a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut—and follower of UConn sports—and lives in the Washington, D.C., metro area with her husband, a wildlife conservationist, and two children. Outside of work, she loves to travel, read, and spend time with her family—and she's been threatening for some time to learn how to play golf.

Dan Lalor

Co-Founder and Publisher

Dan Lalor is a co-founder and the publisher of Fund Board Views. He has worked as a publisher and business development executive for over 30 years and as an entrepreneur in financial news and information for the past 15 years. 

 

Prior to the launch of FBV, Dan was a business consultant supporting small financial information companies. And before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, he spent 15 years at Euromoney Institutional Investor, where he held a series of senior management sales roles. 

 

Dan is a graduate of Niagara University and resides with his wife, Joely, and stepdaughter in the Raleigh, N.C., area where he's an active member of his community, avid golfer, and has learned the difference between grilling and barbecuing.
