American Century Investments' Mountain View board has started succession planning ahead of two upcoming retirements. This week, a new independent director—the former CFO for the Golden State Warriors basketball team—joined the boardroom, a move designed to "allow ample time for a smooth transition," according to a spokeswoman for the adviser.
