Institutional investors follow individuals into bond ETFs

Institutional investors are joining individual investors in gravitating toward bond exchange-traded funds. Bond ETFs took in $91.9 billion in 2016, up about 50% from the prior year and outpacing the rate of growth in equity ETFs, according to Morningstar.
