Big fund firms likely to avoid new Wall Street pay rule

Big hedge funds and mutual fund companies emerged as winners of Wall Street pay rules proposed Thursday. Most of these fund firms likely would be spared because the rules are applied based on the size of corporate assets, not assets held for clients.
