Active ETF asset growth outpaces passive ETFs

Assets in active exchange-traded funds grew at more than double the rate of passive ETFs in 2015, according to Pensions & Investments' annual money manager survey. Among managers in P&I's universe of the largest managers of U.S. institutional tax-exempt assets, active ETF assets grew 26.7%, to $24.7 billion.
