Old Mutual: Asset management biz drawing lots of attention

Old Mutual PLC has received a number of approaches from third parties to buy its stake in OM Asset Management PLC. The company, which said in March it would break up its four divisions, didn’t disclose who it had received approaches from, but The Financial Times reported the company was close to a deal to sell the U.S. asset management business to Affiliated Managers Group for about $1 billion.
