Former NYLife CEO Ross dies at 90

Donald Ross Sr., a former chief executive officer at New York Life Insurance Co. who doubled the company’s total assets by adding mutual funds in the 1980s while shunning junk bonds, has died. The 90-year-old died Jan. 5 at his home in Franklin Lakes, N.J., following a long illness, according to his daughter, Deborah Cipriano. Read the original story from Bloomberg
