Electronic trading pioneer Les Rosenthal dies

National Futures Association founding member and electronic trading pioneer Leslie Rosenthal died on Sept. 16 at the age of 84. Rosenthal began his career on the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade and went on to become CBOT chair in the early 1980s. He also helped found the NFA and became a director of of CME Group.
