GE's Immelt takes helm of healthcare tech company board

Former General Electric CEO and Chairman Jeff Immelt has been named independent chairman of the Athenahealth board. The healthcare technology company, which provides network-enabled services for hospital and ambulatory clients, cited Immelt's "digital expertise" among the reasons for the appointment.
