From the Editor...

It's that time in the summer when we take a little publishing break to recharge our batteries and get ready to face the last quarter (and a bit) of the year. Today marks the first day of that break, which will run through Labor Day, so we'll be back in touch in early September.

Before we go, though, we'd like to draw readers' attention to our latest work: a couple of handy 10 Things... lists, one on artificial intelligence and another on the SEC's latest money market funds reform; an update on plans to consolidate of governance at BNY Mellon Funds; new members of the board that oversees UBS money market funds; a feature on an industry podcast produced by Sidley Austin's Jay Baris; news that a fund complex is swapping out of one series trust and into another; and more. Take the time to catch up if you've missed any of these stories.

As always, we're looking for industry pros to contribute articles for our Viewpoints section through the end of the year (and beyond). Any topic is fair game, provided it is relevant to the independent directors sitting in the fund board room. Please reach out if you've got an idea you'd like to pursue.

Here's hoping you enjoy the end of summer and have a fabulous Labor Day holiday weekend. See you on the flip side!

For now,

Hillary Jackson, founding editor
