Companies that don't train board exposed to risks

Organizations that fail to provide training to their board on ethics and compliance issues can expose themselves to unnecessary risks, since the  Department of Justice recently amended its criteria to require companies to detail what compliance expertise exists on their boards. A Society of Corporate  Compliance and Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association survey found 28% of respondents said they offer no ethics and compliance board training, with the number rising to 34% when only responses from officials at publicly traded companies were considered.
