BET CEO joins Twitter board

Debra Lee, chairman and CEO of BET, the parent company of Black Entertainment Television, has joined Twitter's board of directors. Lee has served as BET’s CEO for about a decade. Before joining BET, she spent five years as an attorney at Washington, D.C.-based Steptoe & Johnson. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has been working to revamp the company's board and boost its diversity.
