The Securities and Exchange Commission has named Dalia Blass director of the Division of Investment Management. Blass rejoins the SEC from Ropes & Gray, where she was a counsel in the firm's investment management practice. Previously, she was assistant chief counsel at DIM. "Dalia's years of service here at the SEC and extensive experience in the private sector will make her a valuable asset to the agency and the Division of Investment Management," said Chairman Jay Clayton. The SEC also named Jeffrey Harris director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis. “Dr. Harris’s extensive research on securities and commodities issues and experience in government, academia, and the private sector make him a great fit to lead DERA’s team of dedicated economists,” Clayton said. Harris is a professor and the Gary D. Cohn Goldman Sachs Chair in Finance at Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington, D.C. Read the Blass and Harris announcements from the SEC.
