Bogle: Expect lower returns over next decade

Vanguard Group founder Jack Bogle told MarketWatch columnist Chuck Jaffe recently that he expects significantly lower returns—stock returns as low as 4% before inflation—over the next decade. During a two-party interview on Jaffe's radio show "MoneyLife with Chuck Jaffe," Bogle presented his take on “smart-beta” and other newfangled indexes, but stayed true to his course and suggested investors do the same.
